I´ve done some reading about MSD ignition parts and there are different opinions. Some say that it is no gain to use a MSD 6AL unless it is a highly modified engine. Don´t know if mine can be called highly modified?

My question.
Will I benefit from a new distributor and a MSD 6AL?
Today I have the stock dist., MSD coil, Accell 8.8 wires

My setup:
Rebuilt engine
Flat tops, 10:1
CompCams XFI268 cam
Roller rockers
Brodix IK180 heads
Fully ported intake
AS&M runners
Ported plenum
K&N
De-screened MAF
Hooker 2055 headers
No cat, full 3" exhaust, Dynomax
Tuning done

The car i pretty fast but I feel that there is something missing.
It runs 8,8 s on 1/8 mile

Unless you have a miss or the stock parts are old and worn out you really don't need it. You might notice a little better gas mileage and smoother idle from what I have read, but if you feel like you have to have every little bit of an advantage or whatever then go or it.
