Idling problems
My car seems to want to go dead when I come to a complete stop, (stop light, etc.) and I was just wondering if there was something I could do about it. Also, about 75% of the time I go from park or reverse to drive it will go dead unless I give it some gas (but I hate to do that b/c it doesn't seem to feel good on my transmission. Do you think a fuel filter will help? I bought one today and I was going to put it on while I was changing my oil since it was already on the ramps, but I couldn't find the old one. Is it in the rear near the tank? Any help would be much appreciated.

try setting the TPS and the IAC as per the tech articles on this site.
you also could have alot of carbon crud either in your IAC pintle or in the egr passageways that could be causing the low idle.
first reset those two sensors. then if that doesnt work get some good throttle body cleaner (for fuel injected motors only) and spray right into your throttle body. unless there is some serious crud- this should do it.
BTW which headers do you have , the shortys or long tubes.?

They are long tube competition headers

The fuel filter is on the driver side in front of the tank, Just look for the lines from the gas tank and you'll see the filter.
