Another Vacuum question
Long post, but wante to give enough info since I don't have anything good to draw a pic with. I seached this site and found many good vacuum diagrams and troubeshooting informaton. I have a 88 LB9 auto IROC car. Does someone have a pic of the driver side front where the canister is and the connections? Mine isn't layed out like the diagram and I want to see how a factory setup is. My tank purge valve (in pics on this site) had one line coming from the right side of the TB to one of the big outlets on the side with the smaller outlet. The smaller outlet of the tank purge went to the lower vacuum port on the TB. The other big outlet on the tank purge valve went to the upper port on the canister. The lower port on the canister went directly to the fuel tank. I think this is incorrect according to the diagrams I found on this site? My purge valve is between the 2 TB ports? My EGR solenoid wasn't getting any vacuum and this is why I started poking around.
I'm getting EGR codes and I know it's vacuum related - just trying to figure out the correct canister side hookup - an actual picture would do the trick - I have the schematic. Basically, it has a couple of different sizes of ports and the line coming from the right side of the TB comes up about a foot short, but is the molded hard plastic line with the connector on the end. I want to know what connects to this and to the canister. Also looking for the same for the tank vent. I already fudged something together that now looks more correct, but would like to see a factory setup.
Want to get this figure out - been bothering me for about a month. Car runs decent when accelerating, but idle stinks.
Thanks,
Dan
