Must I, Could I, or would it be better? (Superam ?)

Question: Must I remove Superam Runner from plenum in order to route the T.V. Cable to the Throttle bracket plate?

I know IF I WOULD have followed the instructions I could have avoided this problem but I KNOW there must be a inventive, creative and Mcgyver type of person who has forgot to do this, decided that removing the runner was not an option and somehow made this happen succesfully. That person please answer. I'm all ears.

Again what I'm asking is the cable that controls the transmission shifts can it be routed after the fact the Superam is all assembled?

I feel your pain, I've done that twice out of four times.

I dont think that the plastic block on the tranny kickdown cable will fit through from behind going under the plenum box. If it can be threaded thru, then try pushing a piece of piano wire through from the front side and hook the tranny cable to it. Then pull the hole thing through to the front.

But I think that the plastic adjust block is too big to allow this to be done.

Sorry, I was very pissed off when I realized that I've got to remove the plenum after just getting it on.

You should be able too if your transmission isn't full of fluid.

Just disconnect it from the transmission and route it back through the runners. The housing of the cable down by the transmission is a lot smaller and easier to navigate.

Just remember, it is almost as much of a pain in the butt to do it this way...

Sorry, but I think you're screwed. I had about 3 bolts in when I realized it. I tried to pull it through w/ some wire, but I realized even if I succeeded I would either pull off the plastic vacuum harness or damage it.

good luck,
