Worth getting new dist cap and rotor?

I'm getting ready to put on an MSD6AL and want to know if I should get a new cap and rotor? Like a high power cap and rotor kit?Any suggestions?

if yours are in good shape you wouldn't have to, but considering the cost it wouldn't hurt either. one thing to watch out for is making too many changes that you have a lot to look at if you have a problem.

You will find that going to far off from stock with ignition associated components will cause nothing but headaches.

Stick with AC Delco.

Like I've said in the past...most (keyword most) people that say they've felt a difference with expensive cap and rotors, is mainly because they were in need of a new in the first place!

The MSD6AL and a set of wires is enough for your setup. Maybe Bosch Platinum 4s just so you can take longer in between spark plug swaps.
