superam on or off?
I have a superam,. On the first motor i did, i installed the longblock without the intake on. It was a royal PITA to install the superam in the car.. Can i install it on the motor and then install it in the car? will it clear going in? do i have to take apart the front end?

I think you need to take it off (I did on mine)
What are you going to lift from and still clear that huge plenum if it's on the block when you cherry pick the motor?

You'll have to use an engine hoist bar that's at least as long as the block is so the chains don't contact the SR or it will bend or break (it's only aluminum, i.e., soft metal). The SR will not like hoist chains pressing on it - which means you won't either if you ever want it to seal w/o a vacuum leak.
Just my two cents.....

Yes, you will need to set up the hoist properly.. I am not putting the engine in myself someone else is.. So you will need every thing set up properly.. That I can't describe how it is done but, I do know it is possible and most likely less work that installing a SR in the vehicle..

You can probably put the runners on, but I wouldn't tighten them down until the plenum bolts are at least started. The lower middle runner bolts are a B*TCH, probably have to remove a couple or rockers to get to the (I did)
