I put my supprram on and a 58mm bbk tb and if I push the gas all the way to the floor the thottle blades do not open all the way. Thare is nothing blocking the gas peddle. thanks

Is there slack in the cable w/ someone flooring the gas? Can you physically grab the tb arm and move it to WOT w/ someone else flooring it? Did you use the throttle bracket that came w/ the superram?

I did use the bracket that came with the super ram and I had someone open the trottle up by hand while I had the peddle floored and there was no slack in the cable.

I'm not sure that I understand whats happening, but: If you turn the side levers on the TB all the way to open and the TB plates are not horizontal, then there is a big problem with the TB itself. Find whats is preventing the TB throotle plates from laying horizontal.
If the problem is that the gas pedal can not open the plates to full horizontal, then I would suspect that the gas cable needs to be adjusted for length.
When I installed my SuperRam, I did not have this problem.

The problem is that the throttle cable will not open up the tb all the way. I am thinking that I might be able to make a spacer to put behind the tb. Is thare an adjustment for the throttle cable that I am not seeing?

Its very difficult to determine exactly what is causing your problem. I really got to see it.
Is the pivot for the throttle on the side of the TB in a different position as compared to the stock unit?
From the mounting face on the TB, where is the distance? And are the TB throttle levers the same length to the attachment point?
Do you have multiple places where you can attach the throttle cable to the lever?
On my car the throttle cable goes over the top of the Superram while the tranny kick down cable goes under the drivers side runner. If you have an automatic, could the kick down cable be causing some interference?
or restriction?
Hey man, I realize that I may be asking a bunch of stupid questions. I wish that I could actually check it out with you.

Pull the carpetiing down and trim the stuff to that the pedal has only the carpetiing between it and the floorboard.
It that doesn't do it then split a few 10-32 nuts with a hacksaw, and install them between the end of the cable, and the pedal to take the slack out.
There is nothing blocking the gas pedal from going all the way down. As for the distances between the bracket and the throttle lever on the tb I'm going to check that out tommarow. doc, bradford is about 15-20min west of piqua on state route 185.

If there is too little leverage on the gas pedal and there is nothing preventing it from flooring properly a way of getting more leverage is to modify the upper stop for the pedal. It takes a little careful bending of the bracket that holds the gas pedal. That way you can achieve a little more travel for the cable.
Hope this helps.

Just to clarify this for me, when someone is flooring the pedal the TB blades aren't horizontal? While they're still holding the pedal, can you move the tb arm yourself to move the blades to WOT or is there some obstruction? Are you sure you don't have the cruise control and throttle cables mixed up?
It's been a few months since I saw my TB so it's a little vague still.

irocz, with the peddle floored someone can open the throttle blades the rest of the way by hand (there is NO restriction). I know I put the cables on right on the tb (they only go on one way). I'll look and see about the gas peddle to see if I need to bend anything. Thanks

i am currently having the same problem. If you look at your pedal assembly, you will see that Grumpy's solution is the best one. The cable itself is supposed to be non-adjustable.

Wraith, I just fixed mine. I did it by adding, in my case, 3 10-24 nuts onto the linkage. Disconnect the cable at the throttle body. Go inside the car, and gently pull the cable a little towards the rear of the car, giving you some slack. Now you install some nuts onto it. The tricky part is that you have to hacksaw a slit on the nut in order to slip it on. But that slit has to be JUST enough for the cable to pass through it with some pressure, but not big enough that the nut will fall right off with ease. How many nuts you use will be a trial and error for you. Now re-connect the cable at the throttle body, and test it out. Since you have taken up the slack, check to see that the throttle body is actually closing all the way. If it isnt, you need to go back to the pedal. If you look at the bracket, you will see how the pedal comes to rest against it. It's an arm that you need to simply bend back a little. It might sound confusing, but when you get see it all, it is easy. If you find something better than nuts to use, let me know.
