Anyone wanna take a crack at fuel strainer orientation?
Anyone wanna take a crack at fuel strainer orientation?
Hi there, I've been rebuilding my car and I wanted to replace my fuel pump. The problem is I didn't mark the orientation of the fuel strainer prior to removing it. Can anyone recall this annoying tidbit of information?
It's the ~7" X 1" sock mesh looking thing that it "pressed" onto the bottom of the fuel pump. This entire unit is attached to the sender unit on the fuel tank itself, it also attached to the fuel level bob.
I can take a picture if it will help.
its an '87 GTA TPI 5.7
Thank you.

it basically goes on so the long width is oriented side to side when in the tank.
the short length goes front to back. basically the same way the float is set up
