Can someone help me with some injector questions???
i think I have a bad injector on my 1990 Iroc/Z 305 TPI. Can I put injectors from a 350 on there instead of the 19lb and hour injectors? What would happen if I did? I've got some mods, but nothing major such as heads or porring. Below in my sig is all of my mods. Will doing this yield any power gains? If this doesn't give me any power and if I should stay with the 19lb and hour ones, what is the ohm's resistance reading for the injectors supposed to be? Is it between 16k and 18k?

Sure you can run 22lb injectors, but if you dont have a custom chip, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, you will run rich all the time. The larger injectors will provide more fuel than your engine can use.

I forgot to include my sig. I do have a chip and AFPR, what would I need to set the pressure at?

A Run of 14.5 Is Possible, But I Have to Wait for My Shifter Springs to Arrive (Mine Are Missing for Some Reason). The Run I Know Which Should Have Achieved This Was Against a Mustang Who Ran a 14.865. I Was Ahead By An Entire Car-Length the Entire Run Until My shifter Hit the Gate For Fourth Gear, Causing Me to Miss the Gear and Grab a Very Disappointing 15.810. What Makes This Story Even Worse to Tell, Is The Fact That I Believe I Had My Best Reaction Time On This Run; a .605 Second Reaction.

Damn, thats a huge sig, please trim it.
You'd need to run about 40 PSI, and you'll probably still be rich.

Thanks Kev, I'll trim the sig too
What do you think I should set the pressure at, as is? I'm going to just stay with the 19lb set.
Edited: Thanks Kevin, I just read the post in Camaroz28.com. See ya!

If you need a new 19lb injector or two, I'm sure you can find them pretty easily. 19lb injectors are a dime a dozen, because people upgrade to 350's or larger with 22lb injectors, and toss aside their 19lbs. I've still got mine, but my dad is using them for another project. Good luck.
Do not install the larger injectors. I ran a set of 22lb on my old 305 while running a mild cam, stock vette heads, exhaust, etc and it still ran horribly rich. 19lb injectors are plenty for a 305. I ended up switching over to a ford 19lb injector and it ran awesome ever since.
