why cant i jus cut runners walls out instead of rounding them??

why cant you jus cut the piece out that divide runners instead of rounding it then all the resrition is gone the runners would still be seperate ive seen people cut them out for the siemese why cant i do it with my set up? turbulance? mods in sig

There would be no advantage of this mod if your runners are not siamesed. As for turbulence,I don't think it would be a big deal either. Turbulence begomes a bigger factor once the air is in the runner and it's all going in one direction. The plenum already has lots of eddies and vortices due to its irregular shape.

Your only disadvantage is that you would have to either trim your gasket or leavea portion of it exposed to the inside of the plenum. About the biggest disadvantage I could see is that your plenum would possibly be more prone to vacuum leaks.

You would be better served to simply do a good gasket match, and thin the casting wall as shown in various tech articles on the web.

well the problem is all i have is a dremel it look as though it would be quicker jus to cut it out rather than taking the time to roumd it out but i diffenitly dont want to risk a vaccum leak thanks

just so you know 195 afr's wont fit a tpi manifold without modification.at least thats what afr told me when i ordered mine.
