Well i just got my T56 swap done (which was a major pain in itself but well worth it!) Now the car seems to drive ok but when i clutch it and roll up to a stoplight it always stalls. I have to keep my foot on the gas to prevent it from dying but even that doesnt always work. It never did this with the 700R4 in it, is this a bad idle air control valve? With the automatic it never saw reverse-torque so im wondering if that had something to do with it. My check engine light comes on when it dies but goes off as soon as it fires up again. Whats going on here?

 

You may need to get a MEMCAl from a stick car. They respond differently to decel.

You may also want to clean the IAC.
