RPM range for the ZZ4 cam

Engine: 355 TPI siamesed runners
Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
I shifted mine at 5000 RPMs, and according to the dyno, its power peak was 4800 RPMs. But that was on a stock ported intake. An aftermarket intake will be better. Mods are in my sig.

You can manually shift the auto to shift at any RPM you want, I think just with it in "D" mine usually shifts at 5000 RPM.

A couple solutions for the shift point thing... A ratchet shifter works great if you want to row your own... Both Hurst and B&M sell these.
The other option is the one I prefer... B&M sells a governor spring recalibration kit. its installed with normal hand tools without dropping the pan. (I did mine while it was out of the car you might have to drop the crossmember and lower the tranny a bit to get to the governor) You fine tune your shift points by changing the governor weights and springs.

My 700 I put in my s10/305 shifts at 5500 if I leave it in first. Doesit all by itself without me going into second. Believe the factory governer does this. The trans is out of a 87 305 tpi.
