What fuel pressure???>>
I am about finished installing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the Formula. What pressure should I set it at? It is a basically a stock L98. Mods are: ported plenum, screens out of MAF, Hypertech Thermomaster chip, SLP 2OTL muffler/yailpipes only (the rest of the exhaust is stock), airfoil, 160 stat, relocated MAT & TCI Breakaway torque converter (rated 2200 rpm stall, actual 1800 rpm foot stall on drag radials). What gains should I expect?
Thanks,
Chuck

Setting it between 42 - 47 psi is usually what they tell you to set it at. As for gains depends on the car and mods but I think I remember TPIS hints book said between 10 and 20 HP. But like I said more mods the more HP to a point.
The best way to set it at the track. Make a run then adjust it up 1 to 2 psi and run it again and see if your time is better til it isn't.
Good Luck!

And Free mods.

Well you dont need to take your pressure to high or it will run rich. You dont have that many mods.44-46 would be my guess on a range for it.
This is surely going to lead to the "You need a custom Prom if you want to cahnge your fuel pressure" So here is my take on it. You have done some mods so you are flowingm ore air so you can use a little more fuel, and is a HELL of a lot cheaper than a new computer chip.

Reworked 305 heads with 3-angle valve job. Added in the rebuild was an SLP TPI cam, BBK 58mm Throttle Body,SVO 24# injectors,MSD 6A, Hypertech Power Coil, 1.5 Crane roller tipped rocker arms, SLP Intake Runners and Port matching in upper intake including fully ported plenum, TPIS adjustable fuel pressure regulator @ 46psi, Hooker shorty style headers w/ Thermotech heat wrapping, Custom 3” exhaust with Flowmaster muffler and chrome quad tips, Hypertech Thermomaster Computer chip, K&N open element cone filter on modified MAF per TPIS specs, MSD Wires, removal of A/C hardware and a 1LE firewall cover installed. Also there has been a PST front suspension kit with Hotchkis strut tower brace
