How to get sending unit out from the top? (Pics inside)
My cutting skills 8)

Where lines bend

Where lines go into (looks like a reinforcment area)

Noitce the clips that go around each line before it goes down into the tank, I bent these clips back, but appears lines are fixxed/moulded into that top peice, so I cannot disconenct them there, without cutting them and patching them back together, which I dont wanna do)

**Any ideas how to disconnect the lines (without dropping tank) and get sending unit/pump out of the tank for replacment? Where do these fuel lines connect? anyway to get this thing out, theres gotta be if others have patches in the back like mine.. HELP lol

You should have dropped the tank.
However, now if you still want to remove it from the hole you cut, you will have to cut all of the metal gas lines and when you install the new sending unit, you will have to cut those new metal lines in the same place, install the new unit and reattach the lines with rubber hose and hose clamps.
Cutting metal lines full of gas vapors didn't sound all that great to me, so I dropped my tank from the bottom and installed my new fuel pump and sending unit without having to cut any lines.
Hope that helps.

If you're prepared to do the job wrong, be prepared to do the whole job wrong.

Lack of time and work space is why im doing it this way, I know its not the "correct way" I appricate the input though guys!
My sending unit is ok, tank is new, pump is a holly pump that is new, but i think its no good. Car will run until warm then you hear a loud whine sound and it sputters and stops until cooled off again.
I guess Ill snip the lines and reconnect em when Im done changing the pump out.

Just be sure you re-attach right, needless to say you will have all sorts of evil problems if they get hooked up wrong.
Good luck!
Good luck!
