Noisy Injectors
Noisy Injectors
My injectors make a really loud ticking noise. They are so loud it almost sounds like the valvetrain but I know its not, my valves are adjusted properly and its a hydrolic setup anyways. The injectors are bosch blue tops, 24 lb. My pressure is right at 50 psi too. I know the stock 19lb. injectors tick, but not like these do! Anybody have experience with these injectors? I guess it doesn't really matter that much other then the annoying sound, the car runs awesome so I can't complain too much. I tried lowering the pressure to see if the sound changes but it doesn't. The injector right next to the regulator is the loudest no question. Thanks!

It is actually the injectors ticking turning on/off or is it the fuel lines pulsating? My fuel lines pulsate and the rate varies with rpms? They make a ticking noise in the ****pit if the fuel line is touching the floorboard. You can grab the fuel rail or regulator and feel it. Under the hood I can hear the injectors though but not in the cab.

just for curiosity have any of you replaced your fuel pump(those with pulsating fuel rails? the newer pumps come with a hose instead of a pulsater (witch actually would dampen the pules from the pump. so asuming you have the higher fp may cause a noticable noise but, suposidly it is better this way less likely to leak by the fuel pump
