Would 24lb injectors be too much?

I was looking at either Accell or SVO 24lb injectors. I've heard good things about the SVO, but what about Accell?
Right now I've got headers/chip/afpr/all the freebie stuff/and my intake is freed up a bit. I'm going to get a cam later and possibly port the heads, but for now would 24 lb injectors ok?

What size motor??

If you have a 350 then 24lbs injectors will be just fine.

No just move your fuel pressure up. You will be running totally rich with the 24# until you get a cam head swap, and even then they may be too much. Using smaller injectors with more fuel pressure will give you better resulta anyway.

Maybe somebody can asnwer a question for me on this topic.
What pressure is the stock injectors? I have them on my bird, and I was thinking of getting in on the Accel group purchase. Since my engine is not stock (see sig), what would be a good pressure to bump em up to? Or should I just leave them alone?

Thanks.

I have a 350 TPI in my car. Looking into the svo/accell injectors further I realize I can't match the stock size of 22lb injectors. I seem to only find 19 and 24 for the SVO's. Is that all they make? For accell they make 21 and 23's but no 22's. I guess I'll go accell, but which size should I get? The 21 or 23? I'm thinking 23 so it will be able to keep up w/ my mods.

Ford SVO 24# injectors are rated at 37 psi vs. GM's 42. Therefore SVO 24# are equivalent to a GM 26# at our fuel pressure.

SVO 19# would be like 20.8#.

If you plan a lot of mods, then go with the SVO 24# or Accel 23# and back of the fuel pressure. If you do not plan those mods for awhile, you could go with the SVO 19# or Accel 21# and just bump up the fuel pressure a tad.

In all honesty, the GM programming errors on the side of "richness". You probably could install the Ford SVO 19#s, do NOTHING, and might find your car faster because of the "over richness" of the GM eprom.

Ultimately, playing with the fuel pressure and adjusting the eprom is the ultimate solution. Then your choice of injector is irrelevant, and in fact, choose the SVO 24# and just shorten the "pulse width" by adjusting the Fuel Injector Constant in the eprom.

Consider getting into eprom burning. To make the change that you want will take all of 5 minutes if you had the prom burning equipment.

If you are planning future mods, then you are best to get into eprom burning BEFORE you modify your engine as you already have a great base to work with... and you KNOW that your car will run with the stock eprom. The problem most people have, is they make their mods...realize they NEED an eprom.. but now they have nothing to work with.

Just "tweaking" your stock eprom on a stock engine will give you some suprising improvements in performance, WITHOUT hooping yourself, as you can always go back to the original eprom BIN. But, it will teach you what you can do, what you can't, ... it truly is the best place to learn how to burn an eprom... on a stock engine with minor bolt ons.

I'm sitting here looking at a set of Accel 22 lbs/hr injectors right now in my NextGenParts catalog so Accel DOES make them! Part # is WS39!

Where are those 22# injectors and how much? Do you have a link or a phone number?
Thanks in advance.
