Anyone w/Chevy Hi Perf. back issues please help!

In several issues in 95 or 96 I remember seeing an advertisement in the back for a company called Lay Enterprises which made TPI lower airboxes that were molded for ram air but of the same material the original airbox is. The guy who did them was an ex engineer for GM that designed the original piece. At the time I had a carbed IROC and now I'm interested in the TPI product. Can someone please find the phone number. Thank You

Thanks for checking. I thought that was it. It may have been from 97. It wasn't in every month. It wasn't a big ad and It wasn't very flashy, basically just info and a phone number. The Lay Enterprises or Lay Enterprises. This was at least a year before I knew of thirdgen.org. I used to have many different subscriptions so it could have been car craft, hot rod, super chevy, or popular hot rodding. I got in a few big arguments with my wife over my car hobby and threw several years of magazines away and cancelled my subscriptions. Big mistake. I must have had a nervous breakdown or something. Anyways, I've looked in recent issues and I don't see any adds. I thought maybe the number might still be valid. Or be a good lead to tracking this guy down and getting one of these. It was a real good product. I called him because I was considering converting to TPI and he sent me a brochure and actual photos of the piece and it was exactly like the stock lower air box except it extended to right where the foglights were on a camaro and didn't narrow down. It was like a factory piece using the same idea as skulte's design but the same diamater top to bottom. It looked like GM designed it. Heck it was basically GM designed since he helped design the originals. It was 160 or 165 bucks. He offered a version for 4th gens as well if I remember correctly. I think alot of people would be interested in the part. Thanks again. Dwain Brammer aka "Draino"
