Who here has pulled 305 TPI heads and found them to be the swirl port castins?

If you dont know what I'm talking about by swirl port, they have a cast ramp around the valve guide instead of the standard style valve bowl.

 

never seen one do you have a pic?

 

I haven't pulled my car's heads, but I did pull a valve cover and got the casting numbers of the head, and it's a '081' head, non-swirl.

I looked at the heads on the 91 TPI engine I have before I put it in the car, and they werent swirl port heads. Dunno what the number was.

 

i swapped a 305 in an 87 iroc-z last year, the heads on it were swirlys.

 

Just want to clairify... We are not talking about a fast burn combustion chamber here.

We are talking about something you can only see if you remove an intake valve. MrF-body, did you remove an intake valve?
