can i use my tpi off a 305 on a 350 block
Next winter i want to start building a 383 stroker and i have never had a fueled injected car before. I am only 17 and my first car was a carbed 86 firebird. My question is can i use the tpi off my new 89 305 iroc-z on a 350 block? And if i can what would i have to do to do so?
Yes you can. The systems for the 305 and 350 were the same. They designed it for a 305, and just stuck it on the 350. You might have to enlarge some holes in the manifold for the heads, but it will fit.
One thing though. With the stock TPI set up, it will choke a 383 somewhat. It will work and be a torque monster, but be done working by 5000rpm or so.

The injectors are different, the Prom is different and the knock sensor is different.
You can use an AFPR to get past swapping the injectors. GM will sell you a PROM for a 350 car (auto only) and you need to buy the knock sensor for a 350.
Away you go.
