305tpi smooth?

hey guys i have a 305tpi out of an 86 trans am that im going to swap into my firebird that has a 2.8 liter.. my 2.8 is alright but its been a gas hog(16mpg) and has never ran very smooth..

my question is.. is the 305 a smooth engine? im not looking for a cadilliac engine but i want it to run decent.

hows the TPI is it better than the MPFI?

Re: 305tpi smooth?

the 305TPI will be a much nicer running motor than the 2.8 that was in the car previously. You wont be disappointed.

Re: 305tpi smooth?

Assuming you had two stock engines in good running order, I don't think you'd be able to tell much difference between the two at idle.
