Are 305 TPI sensors the same as 350TPI sensors?
Are 305 TPI sensors the same as 350TPI sensors?
I did a search but am unable to find the answer I"m looking for.
I was wondering if I took a carthat had a 350TPI in it, and put a buitl 305TPI in it, would I be able to swap all of the sensors over to the 305 or would I have to buy new sensors for it?

The knock sensor is different. The rest are the same.

I'm pretty sure the knock sensor is the only difference as far as sensors go. The stock calibrations for the ECM are different, of course. The 350 uses larger injectors as well.

O.K. I'm buying an 89' 350 tpi to swap out a 89' 305 tpi. Here is what I've found so far. Correct, the knock sensors are different and the spark control moduel that knock senor controls is different. The ECM itself are the same, But the prom chips are different. And True about injectors: 19#'s for 305 and 22#'s for 350. Some guys say that the 350 will run with 305 prom, if use adjustable fuel pressure regulator. But most guy's are going up in CID not down like you are wanting. These are the differences I've found on this forum. Also the years are an issue too. The earlier use a cold start injector while 89 and up don't, the ECM controls that. I was very lucky to find the exact year 350 for my car and in michigan as well. Going to pick it up tommorow. So check your years out too that your using. Good Luck!
