I have a question about taking a 305tpi out & dropping in a 406 in it's place with all of the stock 305 tpi parts/etc. the cam will probally be a comp cam exterme energy design with the 112s/angle for tpi. do U think that the car would at least crank up & run after the motor swap?
thanx

What year TPI do you have? I have done this before. Mine was off a 85Iroc with a mass air,AFPR,gutted mass, and a few freebie mods. Mine run well, it idle allright, somes it surge alittle in gear but not to bad. It was very strong up to about 4000rpm, then it fell on its face, but everybody knows that. At the worst case you would need a custom chip to be perfect. Aftermarket intake/runners would help alot on upper rpm power.

Yea, i have to agree, it'd probably all work with minor tuneing issues, but if you wish to see at least 5500 rpms with some pull still pumping out of the engine, most likely new runners, manifold and throttle body would be needed....

-Flowmaster Catback
-Performance Resource Chip
-700R4 (Rebuilt) Too much done to actually list
-K&N Airfilters
-Ported Plenum
-2.77 Gears (not much to brag about but eh, its there)
-MSD 8.5 mm plug wires
-Problems every other day with the car (probably not a mod, but to me it sure makes a difference)
