code 33 and 34 (MAF)
how can i have both codes? 33 is excessive airflow, and 34 is low air flow . so i dont know whats going on . i was looking at my MAF wires and one has a nick out of it ,its the black with a white stripe (ground i think) its just missing the outer coating and you can see the inside of the wire. do you think that it is enough to mess with it? thanks in advance

I cant say 100%, but Im pretty sure that the ECM stores codes even if they are not active at the time that you read the codes. So i wonder if sometimes its tripping the code 33 and other times its tripping the code 34, then showing you both. The black/white wire is the ground wire, and its worth fixing the insulation on it to see if thats the problem.
A bad MAF is possible but it was about $180 when i replaced mine, so check for other causes first

Re: code 33 and 34 (MAF)
Mine was throwing a code 33 for the last 6+ months. I replaced my burn off and power relays for the MAF sensor, I haven't had 33 pop back up yet. That was 4 days ago. I am pestimistic though and expect it to pop back up at any time. Now I'm getting a code 13. O2 sensor/wiring issue, should be a simple fix.
My advice (mediocre experience), check wiring and relays before you start replacing $200 MAF units.
