TPI intake manifold and plenum port question?

Hi and thank you guys in advance for all your comments.

I need to have some work done to my car fairly soon. It is a 91 formula TPI WS6 5 speed. The car has developed a minor intake manifold coolant leak and it is time to have the intake manifold gaskets replaced. I was wondering if this might be a good time to do some minor modifications to the intake manifold and plenum while they are off?
I have heard about porting, port matching, and polishing these components to improve performance. However, I have no idea how to go about doing this, and to what specification this needs to be done.
Can anyone give me some insights into how to go about this. How much power would my car gain from doing such work, and what are the drawbacks.
My car has the higher output LB9 with the cam out of the l98. It has the dual catalytic converters from the factory and a 3.42 posi rear end.
I am not interested in going wild and ditching the TPI.

a Dremal tool, or air powered mini grinder with a snake....... look on the tech pages https://www.thirdgen.org/technical-articles i think there is a few things on there about it, I know it aint much help!!!
