Just wondering, I never hear anything good or bad about Crane Compucam's in TPI motors. I just bought a Cavalier Z-24 and intend to use the rebate to finish my 355 while using the Z-24 as a daily driver. So I now have more $$$(when I get the rebate). How decent is this cam? I found a set of 'vette heads (ported)I intend to buy to replace my ported 305 heads- I'm getting an Accel intake base (can't decide on LTR's or SR). How good is the cam? I mean, as in powerband, lopiness, sound, mileage, etc...Just need info from people who've been there- don't need to tear this motor apart twice for a cam! Thanks -dhirocz

In my 355 I am using a comp cam so far it's held up to my lead foot.

But what about the Compucam 2040? If it doesn't sound like it'll work good then I want something hotter. I still can't make up my mind on a SR or Accel LTR's. I don't intend going past 6000 RPM- will have rev limiter set at 6250. It's supposed to work for mid to high range, but looks a little small. I should have plenty of evrything else- will have 1 3/4" headers- just don't know if stock TPI configuration (aftermarket)will support a cam made to run past 4500 well. Now I'm considering getting 24# injectors to replace the 19# I just got since I'm burning a PROM...the road never ends...
