Runners and Manifold affect on fuel pressure?

I have a chance to get an eledbrock manifold ported to a pair of SLP runners. Will this mod help me?? I read somewhere that the increase in airflow would require an increase in fuel pressure, and that the injectors can only handle so much pressure. The guy also wants to throw in a fuel presure regulator. He said i would need it. I just got almost new injectors a couple of months ago. they are stock 19 pounders, how much pressure can they handle??? WHat pressure will i need with the intake mod???

If you have a chance to get the regulator go ahead and get it. It's a good tuning aid for the price.
Chances are you won't need to increase fuel pressure though.
The factory PROM calibration is a little on the rich side while at wide open throttle. The only reason you would might be likely to need to adjust A/F ratio is to help with any loss of part throttle drivability.
The intake parts are a good upgrade. They can bolt on to a near stock engine as is and make a power improvement, and if you build up the rest of the engine more you can port them (or get them ported) to keep up with your mods. If you are geting a good buy, then have at it.

Irocz4me,
How is your hydro-rev kit doing? Have you got any test data from that yet?

A friend of mine has almost the same deal, and as mentioned we run a little rich. Part throttle driveing wasn't too bad either. Just now, when your doing 55 @ 1400/1500 rpms and kick-it in the rear to go around someone, it's gonna go like before but with more zing Personally, i say yea, get the AFPR to sqeeze the extra horses out. Every bit counts right?

ODB,
I like it. I don't have any hard numbers with & without on this engine application because I installed the current heads, cam & rev-kit at the same time.
I do know a rev-kit (another brand) made a big difference on a solid roller Chevy 302. It picked up top end big time. It was a much higher revving engine, but the solid rollers are lighter, the ramp profiles weren't as severe, and since it was a solid roller I could use stronger valve springs too.
This engine has a cam with a very aggressive ramp profile, heavy hydraulic rollers, & Crower 1.65 ratio rockers (rapid valve acceleration). All that adds up to a lot of valve train inertia.
The use of hydraulic lifters keeps me from using killer valve springs so the rev-kit helps make up the difference by taking a load off the valve springs.
The fit & quallity of the AFR rev-kit is excellent!
