30lbs Injectors
30lbs Injectors
I have a normally aspirated 383 TPI engine with high flow heads, mid range cam, headers, custom prom, etc. It supposed to dyno near 450-500 hp at the flywheel. Would I have any problems with 30lbs injectors (that I already have) opposed to 24lbs injectors that would be just at thier limit at peak hp.
Supposedly the programmer can just reduce the injector pulse width to reduce the fuel to lean it out in case it would be too rich. My concern is lack of fuel with the 24's at peak hp.
Does anyone have this similar combo?
BTW I don't have the programmed prom so thats not a concern. That comes last.

You shouldn't have any problems with the thirties. Since you already have them, and a custom calibration is in the works you should be fine. Go ahead. They shouldn't be to big to maintain a stable idle on a 383 with the right PROM calibration.
