fuel issues
ok i would like to get some more oppinons so this way i know what to really look for. Car was running fine til last sunday. pulled out of church and it was stumbling and i would give it gas and the rpms just kept dropping, like when i had my computer advance circuit problem of it not being connected back good. got it pulled over, and the rpms were very erratic, swinging a lot. I shut it off, looked under the hood to make sure my air intake was still on and it was. Started it back up and it was fine. monday all day was ok, tues morning it was good, driving down the interstate to the track i could feel it hesitating, i have also had a lot of bad gas issues lately. if i would keep the car high in rpms like 3,000 it seemed to hesitate, but if i let it go down to 2,000 and try to accelerate from there it would just bog out, hesitate then it would finally get back up to speed. got over to get gas and it was to low in rpms that it just died. couldnt hadly get it restarted. got gas and it seemed to run ok again. then later down the road again.....hesitation. i wasnt going anywhere after this point. the fuel pump prime doesnt sound the same anymore but you can hear it. not a strong growl anymore, almost sounds like its pushing air. i ran the pump from the aldl port and from fuel psi gauge attached it would pump air bubbles out then be a solid stream again. at idle the psi is below 30 from what my friend said, if you rev it up the gauge its all over. My friend and his dad think maybe the pump sock if plugged. fuel filter bad(which is new)?
