1991 TRANS AM GTA
I understand That SLP engineering offered a "street legal performance kit" in 1991 through Pontiac dealers,That consisted of siamesed runners,a prom cal pac chip,stainless steel tri- y headers,low restriction exhaust system.Does anyone know if the products offered now through slp are the same componets that were offerd then?When I called SLP, the guy that answered did't seem to know about this kit.Any info about this kit?

Find an old Summit Catalog. They used to sell kits in stages.
For example:
Stage 1- chip, airfoil, t-stat
Stage 2- cat-back, cold air, blah, blah, blah
Stage 3- headers, gears, runners
Stage 4- Throttle body, etc.
Not sure if they still offer these kits, but probably worth checking into a little further.

Mo steel for Mo stremph!

I have the tri y's on my 89 T/A. I had a badly dented collector on the drivers side and called SLP for a replacement. They said they have been discontinued but had six left in stock. I bought one of them (4 months ago)for a steep $102.00. You might be able to get a full set, but it will cost ya!! I haven't seen anything like them in them in the recent catalogs. The collectors are a neat design. Also a pita on the passenger side. Call up SLP if you are interested, they might have a set left!

I asked about those a while ago they used to have a chip too. but, I guess summit put them together.

Doh! I wasn't paying attention.
I see that you called them already. Now that I think about it..... I had a hard time getting them to understand what I was talking about. I lucked out, they sent me the right collector!

Unfortuneately Summitt or SLP doesnt sell that kit anylonger,they have been slowly faseing out of the TPI stuff and really dont care anymore 
.When I first bought my GTA about a year ago,I wanted to get the whole package.SLP only sold everything seperately and they stopped making chips.(the other parts are the exact same as the original package)They did reccomend ED Wright(Fastchip) for the chip though.Summitt had a semi kit of the runners and 3 inch exhaust and was alot cheaper then seperately from SLP,but even that isnt in there catalog anymore.The other stuff I got straight from SLP.
