My car lets out a nice puff of blue smoke when i start the car. I got it 6 months ago, but i've been told by the previous owner that it's been doing that for a year before I got the car. Bad valve seals. My plugs look like crap, too.
My question is this:
How much is this affecting my performance?
It's starting to smoke a little at idle every now and then, and it's getting more frequent so I would assume I had better fix it quick, no?

Yeah it's probobly bad valve seals. The achine shops around here charge about 200 bucks to do a valve job with new seals.

But it could be blowby which means your rings are shot. You said your plugs look like crap did all 8 look that way?

 

I only pulled 3 or 4 and they did, some less than others
