TPI Ignition Upgrade?? need help

Engine: 5.7 Vortec HSR

Transmission: T-5

Axle/Gears: 9-bolt 3.45

TPI Ignition Upgrade?? need help

Well, Ive got the $$ for a new motor for my '87 GTA lb9 and I wanna upgrade my Ignition system also. But i dont know anything about it. I need i know what components i would need for a full system upgrade.

an MSD6-AL is a good upgrade with a stock distributor,

or you could also go with a non computer controlled MSD distributor for more control over your timing.

I would go with the MSD distributor, amplifier box (6AL), and a blaster3 coil.

Holley (Annihilator ignition brand) makes a replacement module for your distributor, if you want to check that out. Accel also makes one. MSD's spark module is the old 4-pin coil-in-cap type, which I don't think you have...
