Failed emissions!!!! Too much CO!!!!!!!!

Damn it, i was so close too. I failed CT emissions for too much CO (Carbon Monoxide)
Now does this mean im running too rich, or too lean?
I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, so i wanna play w/ that. Any suggestions?

Do you still have the AIR injection on your car? I don't and kept failing the CO test. What I eventually did was drop the fuel pressure to about 38 psi and put new spark plugs in (even though the ones in there were only about 10 months old). I also put a bottle of that ISO-HEET fuel line dryer/antifreeze in about a 1/4 tank of gas. I heard that this may help so I tried it. After doing all this, I passed easily. Oh yeah, make sure your car is running hot when you get it tested. The hotter the better. Just make sure it doesn't overheat.

I don't have my AIR pump connected to the manifold either. I failed the first time b/c of CO. Since I still have the pump on the car I connected it directly the line that goes to the cat which basically pumps fresh oxygen into the exhaust and I passed. Simple but it worked.
Thougts?

Try retarding your timing a few degrees if you only failed by a little bit. Otherwise it's probobly your cat.

Too much CO? How old is your air filter? Try a new one in there anyway.

Too rich - The engine needs more air in order to fully burn the CO and oxidize it into CO2.
