Camshaft Opinions
I have a 85 Iroc 305/TPI,700r4 and am going to pull heads and do a standard valve job and install Hooker 2055 headers. I need info on what cam kit to use replace the stock one with and not be a problem as I am going to use the stock TPI setup and also not create issues with the stock ECM. I am going to have the injectors cleaned and serviced and replace all gaskets and o-rings on the TPI unit. I also will replace timing chain and gears. Simply looking for the best I can expect without going to a complete rebuild or adding aftermarket heads. Any info or comments will be appreciated. Badman

Re: Camshaft Opinions
i would recommend keeping the camshaft under 210* duration, and about .450 lift
that still might be too much for the 305, i dont know because ive never modded a 305... went 350 or a 383 :P

The Crane Compucam series are a good upgrade over the stock cam that are guaranteed to work with the stock programming. One of those will definitely be an improvement over the stock cam. If you go much wilder than that, you'll have to deal with a custom prom chip to make it run decent.
