LTR ???

Just wondered how much of a difference in flow there is between SS runners and the large tubes. I've got an Accel base coming and I just put in a convertor. I will be running stock heads and cam for a while too.
Which runners would you recommend for me.
Thanks

Bob

If your going to be running stock heads and cam, I'm going to have to go with the LTR's.

Will the SS runners move the power further up (less low end--more top end) more than the regular LT's?
If so how much more?

Yes, they most likely will. I can't tell u how much though, it depends on the engine and how its modded.

Our illustrious vendor for the GP verified that the Accel runners will make power to 5500 if the rest of the motor can support that and is well-matched. I think you can get decent performance from the SLP's if you're willing to do some porting, but they are probably not the best choice. AS&M or Accel would be better, but they do cost more.

I have some pic's of the siamese porting I did on my SLP's and plenum - send me an e-mail if interested and I'll send them to you.

Does the plenum need to be opened up to look exactly like the entrance of the SS runners?
In other words instead of having 4 larger holes, make them into 2 "B" shapes just like the runners.

Yes, the plenum does need to be opened up to match the runner ports of SS runners
