alright guys need some cold start injector help
i have an 87 gta and i believe the cold start injector is leaking, my first question is can you check it by pressurizing the system and blocking it off, second can you remove it without any problems, i live in Mississippi and usually the coldest it gets is may be 40 degrees, the problem I'm having is that when the car sits for more than 20 minutes its hard to start and when it does it spits and spudders and you get a raw gas smell form the tail pipes along with a puff of white smoke. after it runs for a minute its runs like a champ. my grand dad bought the car new and said he had to have the injectors replaced and he said its done this ever sense but I'm almost sure they did't, change the cold start one thanks

Don't know if you can check it by pressurizing the system. I don't see why not though.
You can remove it and block the port in the runners and fuel rail. It'll just take a little longer to start unless you mess around a little with the startup fueling table.
I removed mine, messed with the startup table, and now it starts on the second revolution.

when you say the startup table you mean the program in the CPU right, how hard is it to change those settings around and how much does it normally run for the hardware and software thanks for the info i applicate it
