Ol' Stinky (Car running Rich)
Hi All,
Lately my IROC has been running rich I think. When anyone follows me they comment that my car stinks really bad and the mileage hasn't been too great either. What should I look for? I work at a fleet garage and one of my coworkers tapped on the MAF with a screwdriver and said that it should change the idle speed noticably when tapping on it and it didn't. Is this true? Should I look into replacing the MAF? I put scanner on it tonite and it showed no codes. Where do I start? Thanks

tappin the maf with a screwdriver?? what? sounds like BS to me. well i would check the coolant temp sensor, O2 sensor, and even the ignition timing to start with. if your maf was bad, the car would run terrible and maybe go into limp home mode.
