Question about the 89 chip being better

If the 89 chip is better, then why is the LB9 auto's rated at the same horsepower (190) as my 86 is? Wouldn't a better chip equal a few ponies?

It's the cam and the choked up exhaust that throttles the 86-89 LB9.

Its better for mods, if the car is stock and is going to stay that way, u can just leave the 86 chip in it and it will work good.

U wouldn't want the 9th injector with this chip because there wasn't a 9th injector in 89 and the chip makes up for this and uses the the other injectors instead, so u wouldn't want the ECM doing that and the 9th injector too.
