If you are asking if your existing harness will work with TPI, I don't think so.

I just swapped the TBI harness out of my '92 RS for a brand new GM TPI harness. The TBI & TPI harnesses are different in several ways.

I think your question is about the engine harness connecting to the dash harness, right? If so, the TPI harness works just fine. It plugs into the same "junction block" on the driver's side firewall and also plugs into the same connectors under the dash on the passenger side at the ecm.

Let me know if you have any other questions as I just did this swap 3 days ago.

I'm starting to sound like a Howell representative now. lol Send it to him. It takes two weeks for the conversion and costs $350 which is cheaper than a new GM. www.howell-efi.com

Best E.T. with TBI 305: 16.11 @ 82mph
Haven't been to track with new motor
If you have any questions on converting from TBI to TPI email me at jdkchevy70@yahoo.com
In memory of Dale Earnhardt, I'll miss cheering for that black #3 on raceday!!!

Sounds to me like you have broken rotator splint, or maybe you have small *****? maybe, you should take the engine side of the TPI and plug it into the interior sid eof the TBI harness, and see if all the wires and their colors line up, the Gm wiring changed in groups, up to 86, 87 t0 89 , and 90, then 90 to 92, i thik, but he pin is the wires will probally be in different spots and since the years are different, thngs like tach leads and other sensors might have different colors. Youn need to compare both harnesses in full . i will lend you my chiltons book, beer, my sister and a fleet of mexicans to sort it all out, ps the mexicans are purly for entertainment value as do they not posses any mechcanical skills.
