Trick Flow heads

http://www.trickflow.com/product/che...3degree175.asp

Anybody have any experience with these heads? Specifically, whether or not they have an exhaust crossover so I can keep my EGR? I emailed then called Trick Flow and got conflicting answers. Also, for my application, a 305 TPI, (Save it. I'm not going 350/383 at this point in time. ), my choices are these or World Products S/R's. From what I've been able to find out so far, the Trick Flows flow much better and would have the weight saving advantage of aluminum, compression advantage notwithstanding. Yes? No? Why? Thanks!

PS Here's the cam I'm looking at: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Plus a TPIS Bigmouth base/runners and a set of headers. Good?

Re: Trick Flow heads

I really know next to nothing about this stuff, but it looks like all the heads on that chart are for 327s or bigger. I am also looking for a set of heads and cam so I am very interested in this too.

Re: Trick Flow heads

i dunno i looked at there pdf chart and for the 262-305 styled small combustion head it says 1.99intake and 1.23exhaust valves, sounds insane like wtf??????

anyways trickflows usually are the next best thing to afr's and i'd have to say that a 175cc volume would be pretty nice. + aluminum = sweet.

what kind of a price do those run, any idea?

anyways i'm sure the valve sizing on the pdf is wrong and the 1.94/1.5 valve sizing on the page is right but, still thats pretty wierd.

Re: Trick Flow heads

Based on the other Trick Flow heads I have seen (the 195 version) yes they should have the exhaust crossover passage for the EGR.

Not a chance. All the good heads cost more than $1000. I have heard the Patriot aluminum heads are around $800, though. No experience with them.
