TPI Fuel Pum Regulated Down for Temp Carb Supply

I'm installing a complete 350 in my vehicle. Due to engine location and interference, the mech fuel pump can not be retained. I have a TPI system to install in the spring when it warms ups (no garage yet) and will need to purchase a higher pressure electric fuel pump for it.

Can I skip the low pressure carb type electric fuel pump and install an inline high pressure pump now and just regulate it down?? Would this restricted flow damage the pump?

Thanks, Jim

It shouldnt restrict the flow if you use a regulator. It would actually flow more.
