Nope....think about it...the stat doesnt open till about 195 degrees but by 180 degrees the fans are already on so by now the stat is open and coolant is running through the radiator the fans are still running and cool the coolant to 195 degrees then the stat is closing and the coolant is still around 190 degrees but the stat is closed and the fan swich in the head is still seeing 190 degrees and keeping the fans on but coolant is not flowing through the radiator anymore to cool the heads so the switch in the head will never see 180 degrees again after the car warms up. Therefore the fans will run all the time. I would search the boards for the GM part number for the 170 degree stat....its not to cold for the ECM and is a lot cooler than stock.

I think that was the longest run-on sentence I have ever seen. Take a breath.

I can get my car to run 175 degrees with a 160 degree stat and my adjustable fan switch(ECM only needs 173 degrees to work properly)

That statment is not necessarily correct either! The coolant doesn't have to be "flowing" through the radiator to cool! The fans will simply cool the coolant that is sitting IN the radiator! Then when the engine gets hot enough again, the stat will open and let that "cooled" coolant in from the radiator! But I do agree that it's kinda pointless to have a 180 fan switch with a 195 stat! For optimal cooling just add a 180 stat in there....the 180 is fine for our cars! Or spend a little extra on the 170 from GM!

You will be fine!Just the fans will run constantly. It would be no different then if you were to wire the fans to run as soon as you turn the key.It will help your temp from going up and down.
