Modded 305 power?

I'm looking at picking up a 305 TPI, and it's already had some mild work done, such as: comp cam, valves and springs to match, heads blended and decked .02 by a speed shop, SLP headers, flowmaster exhaust, and off road chip. I definately want the 305, because I want the M5 with it. Any opinions on how much power this setup might be making?

Depends on year. Though seeing how as most of the GM variances have been thrown out like the penut cam and exhaust then we can talk on a leve playing field. WIth all that work I would say a good 250hp at the crank, probably making about 200-210 at the wheels. this should be a low 14 sec. car if everything was done properly and it is tuned right.

Past Thirdgen:
86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

Hopefully with those mods you're making more than 210 at the wheels. My car (1990 Iroc 305 TPI w/M5) made 211 HP at the wheels and I don't have any of those mods. Go to my website to see my mods. http://php.iupui.edu/~balyea

Ignore the part about the girlfriend, she broke up with me two or three weeks ago. I don't even want to get started on that subject, too much heartache.

Good luck with the car!

Firstly, I am a sick individual. A quote from your webpage:

"and of course keeping my girlfriend (Gwen) happy."

Either you didn't keep her happy or she found someone who could shine their car in less than 5 days.

Sorry, I'm sick. I just had to say it, if I didn't it would haunt me for life.

If you search around here a bit, there are some links to some impressive 305 buildups. Not as common as 350 ones but they are out there
