12.xx 1/4 time from L98

Hello everyone,
I am currently searching for an L98 Camaro and after I find one I would like to start modding it to hit somewhere in the 12s, I don't care whether high or low, on street tires. What I was wondering is what kind of set up I should do, mini-ram, afr190s, etc. and how much I should expect to spend on these different mods. Also if it is possible could you tell me how much power the T-5 manual and 700r4's can hold along with the stock rear end.
Thanks a lot!
Rob

While my L98 has only run high 13's so far, I am in the final parts collection stage of a performance makeover and shooting for upper 12's on street tires. All of the parts and costs are detailed on my website.

Your major problem will be traction. There's only so much that you can do to plant all that torque that a long runner TPI setup can dish out. If you want to do it on street tires then you might have a problem. 400+ lb/ft of torque is very hard to plant. You'll need a good 60ft to pull a 12 and if you won't run sticky tires then your 60ft times will suck. Its definitely doable ... its just harder if you insist on running street tires.

Gunning for NA 11's with bigger cam, bigger stall, and bigger exhaust.

Past Thirdgen:
86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!
