idle problem for all u geniuses

91 305 tpi auto
My car won't come down off 1550RPM's when in neutral or park. Last year I replaced the IAC and the timing module. The wierd thing about the prob is if I give the gas a couple sharp blasts it will sometimes idle down to where it is supposed to be. This leads me to think that it is the IAC again.

I don't think it is the TPS because the car is working great other than the idle prob. I think the IAC may be binding or something to that effect!! What do you guys think. The more answers the better. You wouldn't know a part# for it?

Have you checked to make sure that the throttle plates are fully closing and not binding? Next time the idle is high pop the hood and try to manually close the throttle all the way to see if it is actually fully closed. I had the same problem and I just added a helper spring to close the throttle all the way, it works great now.

Nope nothing is binding. Everthing is perfect. You can push on the linkage and it is against the stop.
