Bang for buck performance mod !!

Well i've saved up enough money now to make my first performance mod on my 305. Its a more or less stock 305 TPI out of a 5spd car(not the peanuts cam motor) but hooked to my 700R4. It's a 91 SD model. What is the best suggestion i do, my budget is $1000 Cdn. Please help. PS the motor is completly rebuilt with 10:1 compression and a custom chip to make it work in my S10 not a performance chip at all.

aw man, come on. Dont count out nitrous. No way your gona find a blower for $1000. for around $600-$700 you can have a kick **** juice setup. Doesnt hurt gas mileage, only there when u need it, and no whine to give you away I really wish people would get over their fear or dislike of nitrous. Its not cheating and it doesnt blow up engines. As long as you set it up right, you'll be fine.

No i know i would never find a Super for a Grand especially for a TPI motor. And i don't hate NOS i even set one up in a buddies T-Type but i want something that will benifit me all the time. And beside getting the bottles refilled is expensive in my town or atleast so im told. Maybe i should have said best Bolt on part inc. camshaft and the sort.

Long tube headers and a dual exhaust I would say for starters.

All I have to say is it sucks to be Canadian when you are buying car parts! pretend you only have $500 American so it is more realistic. I would have some head work done and put in a decent cam. Port the plenum and put on an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I saw one in Canadian high performance for $119 Can. It is a holley and it is made for your engine.
