On a stock TPI car for example, of course auto, but what speed should you shift into overdrive ????

I leave my selector in OD all the time. I've only been driving this 86 IROC for a couple of months. We've had my son's 83 Z for 3 years now and it is also left in OD all time. I've had my 82 Blazer for 13 years and it always stays in OD. I haven't seen a problem, but those things do a lot more shifting (even below the speed - about 40 mph - where they go into OD) than any of my older turbo 350s do. The camaro's aren't too bad, but that 6.2 liter diesel works that 700r4 to death!
