Is this a problem: 88 large tube runners on 89?
Guys, I just purchased a great set of used ASM large tubes off an 88 corvette. However I have an 89 IROC. I know I can plug the CSI hole in the runners. But there is a CSI tube that runs up to the Plenum. When bolted to my 89 Plenum, the tube is open to the outside air because the 89 plenum is missing the additional casting for the CSI.

Yes, a huge vacuum leak like that is a problem. You need to seal that entire CSI tube.

I figured but, was not sure how the CSI air flow worked. I guess plugging the hole or getting a plenum from an 88 are my choices.
