Fuel pump problems

In the past 8 weeks the fuel pump has lost fuel pressure 5times when the coolant temp reaches 220degrees which is when I'm stuck in traffic.I drove it from Pa to S.I. a week or 2 ago w/o a problem. As long as it doesn't get hot works great.Replaced fuel pump number of times and fuel filter.Couldn't find any kinks in fuel line.would the fuel pump relay act up when hot?Anybody else have this problem.

How do you know it is losing pressure, do you have a guage on it? It sounds like the ignition coil is getting heat soaked to me.

I have a fuel pressure gauge mounted inside my cowl hood.I have 12v going to the pump but the pump doesn't work so I know the pumps gone,? is why do they keep going out when temp gets around 200?

Only thing I can think of right now is a fuel line touching or really close to an exhaust..Just for laughs what if you dont let the temp go over 200F?
