what is this code???!!!
I just replaced the 305
tpi motor in my car for a 350. I'm using all the tpi stuff from the 305. I had a custom prom burned. The motor is new. the car runs good and is quite a bit stronger than I expected however the ses light comes on from time to time and gives a code 36 and 42. What the heck is a 36?! I can't find it in my service manual.

Code 36 deals with the MAF burn off cicuit. You mght want to start out checking for 12v first. Code 42 deals with the electronic spark timing circuit. Try locating a book called Chevy TPI Fuel Injection Swapper's Guide by John Baechtel or Cartech. It provides a lot of useful stuff, especially all the trouble codes and their flow charts.
