89 formula neither fan will come on! HELP!

Oh guys you got to help! I just picked up a 89 formula 350 WS6. and neither fan will operate. both of the fans are good! I can hook em up and whalla! but when I plug em back into the relays there is nothing. they don't even come on with the air. (if i run the fans straight to the batt. the air blows ice cold). this car is sweet with 88,000 miles so I don't want to do any cutting, splicing, putting switches in or that kind of stuff this car is Virgin and I want to keep it that way! now I haven't tried the grounding the cts mainly cause I don't want to be cutting wires and such. Is that the only thing that controls the fan or did someone mess my car up before i got it! (I bought it at the auction so who knows!) give me some clues! thanks guys. you all rock and keep it real. )

it can be your fan fuse, your fusible link, or your fan switch.
